On April 6, 2016, our Year 6 students were invited to join some of our community members on the Hawkesbury River Senior's Cruise run by Broken Bay Sport and Rec. Reports back from Mr Iles and those on the boat were absolutely glowing! Our students represented the school very well and we are extremely proud of them! It is especially encouraging to know that the values and character development that we promote in our school community are making a difference to the broader community. The seniors of the cruise felt so thankful for our help on the day, they passed a hat around and collected a donation that will be added to our school parliament funds to purchase resources for our school. Our heartfelt thanks to Paul and Phil who organised this.

The students worked hard as wait-staff to the Senior Citizens. They were a credit to Brooklyn Public School and helped make it a most enjoyable day for all us oldies! -Brian Goodey
